​​Position Summary

Demonstrate the competencies and behaviors needed to improve student preparedness and mastery and to support the core values, vision, and mission of Al-Hadi School. This teaching position is for Elementary School. Under the direction of the principal, the teacher is assigned to teach students by providing students an education based upon academic excellence and excellent moral/ethical values.

​​Position Title

This teaching position is for Middle and High School for the below-listed subjects:

  1. Social Studies.

  2. Mathematics.

  3. Science.

​​Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.

  • Texas teaching license certification

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

  • Experience teaching elementary students.

  • Native-like fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

  • Promotes and maintains positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships.

  • Adheres to the teacher code of conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook and follows and implements school policies.

  • Has mastery of content that is to be taught

  • Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity, interest, and abilities of students.

  • Guides the learning process toward the achievement of established curriculum goals, and establishes and communicates clear objectives to the students for all lessons, units, and projects.

  • Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis, provides progress reports as required, and communicates with parents as directed by the principal.

  • Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records Develops a code of conduct for the classroom that is consistent with established school policies, and develops rules of classroom behavior that are enforced in a fair and just manner.

  • Employs a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students, including current technology and whole-group/small-group learning.

  • Prepares for classes and shows written evidence (lesson plans) on a weekly basis.

  • Create lesson plans and curriculum maps aligned with current state standards, which drive instruction through formative assessment and differentiation.

  • Seeks support when concern regarding student progress arises.

  • Provides age-appropriate communication with students on instructional expectations and keeps them informed of their progress in meeting those expectations.

  • Manages classroom and learning time to maximize student achievement.

  • Ensures the classroom and/or instructional environment is attractive, healthful, safe, and conducive to learning and that materials are in good condition and accessible to students.

  • Participates in in-service and staff development activities and staff meetings as required or assigned.

  • Attends established traditional school-sponsored activities (i.e., graduation, open house, and other activities customarily attended by classroom teachers and/or faculty members.)

  • Establishes partnerships with the community as appropriate in support of the academic program.​
