Assalamo Alaikom, Dear Lion Parents!
InshaAllah you and your families are doing well and staying safe. Condolences to the Imam of the Age(ajtf) and you all on the occasion of the Martyrdom of Imam Baqir(as). May we remain steadfast on the path of pursuit of knowledge and piety as the Imam exemplified during a lifetime.
Another jam-packed letter awaits you that should inshaAllah provide clarity.
1) Links for Webinars

2) As mentioned in the webinar, the 5% lump sum discount has been extended until 7/31. Please reach out to registrar@alhadi.com if you have any questions.
3) We are planning to re-open the Voss & Richmond Pre-School locations on August 3rd with limited spots. Parents who are interested in enrolling their child should email registrar@alhadi.com. Please see the attached pdf for more information about the in-person and Homeschool Plus options for your child. The Homeschool Plus options allow you to have the flexibility of ensuring your child's learning is uninterrupted but that it happens at a pace and schedule that is comfortable for you.
4) Ziyarah Fundraiser Drive. Al-Hadi is providing the unique opportunity for Ziyarah to be done either on your behalf or on behalf of a departed loved one on the Day of Arafah in Karbala. The merits of such a ziarat are known to you, but for more information about this opportunity, please see the attached flyer.
5) We have received requests from many parents about the supply request link. For parents who wish to purchase their child's school supplies from Al-Hadi, you may do so by clicking on the link below. Please note, these supplies are being purchased in bulk to save costs and eliminate the need for parents to venture to stores in the current health conditions. We will try our best to have the supplies ready by book pickup date of 8/6 and 8/7 if you place your order no later than 12 pm CST of Thursday, 7/30.
Additionally, parents of children attending school in-person during phase I will have the option to purchase uniforms online and pick them up from the school. Uniforms will be required for all students attending school in-person. Link for uniform orders will be available in the next 24 hours through the Pay Online portal of our website, www.alhadi.com

6) Last but not least, we have exciting news about some of our course offerings, staff placements, and schedules. The past Summer was a time of many upgrades:
- ELA curriculum in Elementary has been revamped and you will notice an emphasis on an increased number of ELA blocks all the way through 12th grade. We are firm believers that all of our teachers are ELA teachers first and then content teachers second. This belief will drive our instruction. I am confident that in 1-2 years, this will make a significant difference in our students' reading comprehension skills, fluency, and overall literacy, inshaAllah. This will then translate to higher achievement across all disciplines.
- The elementary curriculum in Science was improved to include more hands-on activities and allow for more engagement with the content. Our teachers are excited about the switch.
- We welcomed back Sr. Madiha Zaidi to our faculty. She will be teaching Middle School social studies and World Geography starting this Fall, inshaAllah. Sr. Madiha is a veteran, certified teacher who we believe will fit right in with our Al-Hadi 2.0 vision. Sr. Saima will be empowered to continue building our middle-schoolers' literacy through additional ELA instructional time available this school year for 6th-8th grade.
- We also are excited to announce that Sr. Faiza Zuberi will be making the transition to HS Social Studies, her primary area of certification. Despite holding a Masters in Economics, when Sr. Faiza joined us last year, the HS Social Studies position was not available and we relied on her additional certification for Middle School Mathematics. She is also ESL certified and will continue to work in the area of Algebra 1 for High School Math preparation.
- The Math vacancy spotlights one of our current staff members who will be a great fit in the role of 6th and 7th Grade Mathematics teacher, Br. Saif Ghori. Br. Saif will be relying on his educational background as he co-teaches with our Microsoft Volunteer team, our first-ever cohort of Advanced Placement Computer Science A. Br. Saif will also be continuing to prepare our Debate students in Debate I and II so they will be ready when competition resumes.
- We are expanding our Spanish as a second language program with the start of Advanced Placement Spanish for the first time. Sr. Zainab Devereaux has done a tremendous job in building the program and we are excited about what the future holds.
- And we look to continue building on the success of last year's graduating cohort through the implementation of Senior Seminar, Junior Seminar, and Sophomore Seminar for the students in grades 10-12.
These are some of the few steps taken toward our one-year, three-year, and five-year goals. We can't wait to share with you our vision during our November town hall!

The grade-specific schedules will be sent out in a separate email tomorrow that will also highlight the teachers teaching each subject. Please note, this schedule shows all of the course offerings and is a general guide, while the grade-specific schedule will provide you a clear picture of only the classes your child will be
