1. Principal, Al-Hadi School, Houston, Texas.
Seeking to recruit a dynamic Shia Muslim to lead and manage academic and operational functions and take this established school to the next level of excellence.
Competencies/Skills:
-
A committed, practicing Shia Muslim of righteous conduct and follower of Shia Ithna e Ashri beliefs.

Ability to systematically analyze and prioritize problems, determine alternative solutions, and make appropriate and effective recommendations and decisions.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Establish and maintain strong and effective organizational and public relations, especially ability to create strong parent and community partnerships.

Understand, align and carry out duties under direction and guidance of the School's governing board.
- The individual will be a role model for students to follow in Islamic behavior.
Education:
- Master of Arts/Science or higher degree from an accredited university, preferably in education, administration, or a related field.
- School Administrator / Principal certification is a plus.
- A sound knowledge of Islamic belief, ethic and practices is required.
Experience:
- Five+ years of teaching experience and a minimum of five years of leadership experience in an administrative role, at the elementary, middle or high school level is preferred.
- Islamic school experience in teaching and administration is highly desirable.
About Al-Hadi School:
Al-Hadi School of Accelerative Learning is a full-time, Pre-K to 12th grade private Islamic school, established in 1996 and located in Houston, Texas. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the school currently has an enrollment of over 300 students. The vision of the school is to create an Islamic environment which will foster a community of learners and future leaders by inculcating a spirit of lifelong learning and Islamic behavior.

Security Guard (Full-time)

Job Description:
To provide security for the property, patrons, students and employees of Al-Hadi School and the Islamic Education Center (IEC) by enforcing security policies using sound judgment and courtesy.
Qualifications:

21 years of age or older
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Training and experience required

Strong interpersonal skills needed to ensure positive, courteous and helpful interaction with patrons
-
Disciplined and responsible individual capable of exercising clear judgment and timely risk assessment.
Job Responsibilities (sample):
-
Patrol IEC / Al-Hadi School premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.

Screen individuals and prevent unauthorized access to IEC / Al-Hadi School premises
-
Monitors car traffic during student drop off and pick up, and during special events as needed to ensure safety
-
Promote observance of parking regulations
-
Liaison with emergency and local authorities
-
Report observed theft, damage, safety violations, etc to direct supervisor
3. Student Counselor (Part-time)

Job description:
Candidate must be a trained professional who will support students and families in dealing with issues such as depression, anger, abuse, self-esteem, stress and grief. This individual will work closely with individuals and groups to help them make informed decisions about their emotional and behavioral health.
Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older
-
Must hava a Bachelors degree along with relevant counseling courses, or State / National Mental Health Counselor Certification

2 yrs or more of experience in related area required

Candidate should be good listeners, enjoy helping others, have good communication skills and have empathy for others
-
Candidate should be able to evaluate environmental and social influences as part of developing a plan to address various mental health issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Meet with students and teachers to identify needs and areas of concern
- Provide guidance to students and families on mental health issues
- Liaison with professionals in the field to help identify available resources
- Make referrals for additional counseling and follow-up
- Provide written reports to immediate supervisor to document services provided
